Richie Orr attended and played four years of high school varsity 8-man football at Southlands Christian school from 2008-2012 through their private satellite program. Richie played both center on the offensive line and nose tackle on the defensive line. He received all Express league honorable mention his sophomore year, all Express league 2nd team his junior year, and all Express league 1st team his senior year. He also played one season of high school varsity men’s volleyball his sophomore year and one season of high school varsity baseball his senior year. After graduating from Southlands, Richie attended Azusa Pacific University to study Social Science, while also walking onto the Azusa Pacific football team his freshmen season. In 2013, Richie returned to Southlands Christian to coach the offensive and defensive line for the high school varsity 11-man football team. The following year he took on the special teams coordinator role alongside his offensive and defensive line responsibilities until the 2018 season. In 2019, Richie received the opportunity to intern for the Azusa Pacific University Division II football team. Holding roles breaking down offensive film, assisting with film and technology needs during practices, and operating in the coach’s box on game days directly assisting the defensive coordinator. In 2020, Richie graduated from Azusa Pacific University a second time with his graduate degree in Master of Business Management. That same year, he returned to Southlands Christian a third time to accept the role of Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the high school varsity football team.
