Eagles News · Kevin Chen Commits to the University of La Verne

Senior, Kevin Chen, committed to play football at the University of La Verne for the 2017-18 season. Kevin has been a two-year varsity starting offensive lineman for Southlands Christian and hopes to get some playing time with the Leopards.

Head Varsity football coach Osaar Rasshan had this to say about Kevin, “I am extremely proud of this kid. Kevin came from a country where many have never even heard of the sport of football that we love here in America. He came in as a sophomore having never played- only observing what he could find on YouTube. Three years later he has become one of our best lineman and players on the team. His dedication, courage, humility and work ethic will take him a long way in life. I hope and pray that he continues to put his faith in Christ while in college and becomes a great light on LaVerne’s campus. Great job Kevin.”

Let’s congratulate Kevin Chen on his commitment to ULV!
