Girls Varsity Softball · Softball Season Comes To An End

Congratulations to our Varsity Softball Team for a successful season. The Eagles had a 10-5 overall record and a 4-2 league record. Coach David Waldenberger and his staff have turned this program around to have their first winning season since 2014 when the Eagles’ made it to the Division 7 Semifinals. d

The Eagles lost in the first round of CIF against Big Bear High School. The score was 9-2. Big Bear scored first as they went up 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning. The Eagles would come back at the top of the 3rd inning to tie the game at 1-1. However, Big Bear responded quickly as they went up 4-1 in the bottom of the 3rd. The game was close and the pitchers were throwing heat as the score was 5-2 at the end of the 5th inning. The Eagles struggled to hit off of Big Bears pitcher throughout the game as the Eagles registered 3 hits all game. Big Bear took a commanding lead at the end of the 6th inning with a score of 9-2. The Eagles couldn’t score to extend the game and Big Bear won after the top of the 7th inning with a score of 9-2.
