The Southlands Christian Girls’ Basketball Team is in the middle of league play and are coming to the end of the season. The Eagles are now 9-6 overall and 3-1 in league. Leading scorers, Macie Oliva and Reanna Schnabel have been putting up big numbers against league opponents. Paris Church, Lael Singley, and Riley Ruan are other seniors who have been a great supporting cast the past couple of seasons. The Eagles also have a lot of young talent in their sophomore and freshman players.

The Eagles are away against the La Verne Lutheran Trojans today at 5:30 pm in an Express League competition. The Eagles are 2-0 against La Verne and they have an average winning margin of 39 points against the Trojans.

The Eagles have 5 games left in league as they play La Verne Lutheran, Eastside (twice), and Bethel Baptist (twice). The Eagles are definitely looking to get back that loss against Eastside Christian on 1/11 and get their 3rd Express League title.
